Privacy Policy
Eagle Remodeling Services LLC ("Eagle Home Improvements," "we," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit https://eagleremodelingservices.comor request our services, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights as a resident of the State of Maryland.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you fill out our estimate form or otherwise contact us, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Property address or ZIP code
- Project type and approximate budget
- Free-text project description and any preferences you share
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website we may receive:
- IP address (truncated for analytics where supported)
- Approximate geographic location (city/region level only)
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- Pages viewed, time on page, and referrer URL
- Error logs (e.g., 404 pages reached)
We do not use cross-site behavioral tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-preserving, no cookies) and may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization enabled. Cloudflare also provides DDoS protection and bot mitigation, which involves processing IP addresses.
2. How we use information
- To respond to estimate requests and inquiries
- To prepare written contracts and conduct project work
- To send service-related communications (estimate confirmations, scheduling, project updates)
- To comply with Maryland MHIC licensing recordkeeping obligations
- To improve our website and services
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
3. Service providers and third parties
We share information with the following categories of service providers, each contractually obligated to protect your data:
- Hosting and security: Cloudflare (CDN, DDoS protection, web analytics)
- Email delivery: Email service provider (e.g., Resend, SendGrid, Google Workspace) for estimate confirmations and project correspondence
- Form processing: Cloudflare Workers / Turnstile (anti-bot)
- Analytics (optional): Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization
- Financing partners: Only with your express request, we share information with our partner lenders to facilitate financing applications
- Subcontractors: Limited project-relevant information (property address, scope) with bonded and insured subcontractors when required for specialty work
We may disclose information if required by law, in response to a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
4. Data retention
- Estimate-only inquiries (no contract): 24 months from last contact, then deleted.
- Project contracts and related correspondence: 7 years from project completion (consistent with Maryland MHIC recordkeeping requirements).
- Warranty records: Length of warranty period plus 1 year (typically 6 years total).
- Tax-related records: 7 years (federal IRS recordkeeping standard).
- Website analytics: 14 months (GA4 default) or shorter where Cloudflare-only.
5. Your rights as a Maryland resident
Maryland residents are protected by the Maryland Personal Information Protection Act (MPIPA, Commercial Law Article §14-3501 et seq.) and the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA), effective October 1, 2025. Under these laws you have the right to:
- Be notified of any data breach involving unencrypted personal information that creates likelihood of identity theft
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal information
- Request deletion of personal data we process (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Opt out of (a) targeted advertising, (b) sale of personal data, or (c) profiling for decisions producing legal or significant effects — we do not engage in any of these activities
- Request that we destroy records containing personal information when no longer needed
- Have reasonable security measures applied to your personal information

We respond within 45 days; an additional 45-day extension may be necessary for complex requests with notice. You may appeal a denied request to the same email with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. The Maryland Office of the Attorney General oversees privacy law compliance.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses minimal cookies:
- Strictly necessary: for site functionality (e.g., form CSRF protection)
- Analytics (optional): Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookie-free; if Google Analytics 4 is enabled, it uses _ga / _gid cookies with IP anonymization
You can control cookies through your browser settings. We do not use behavioral advertising cookies.
7. Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults seeking residential remodeling services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA). If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls on stored data, and security training for staff. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee against all unauthorized access.
9. Service area
Our services are offered exclusively to residents of the State of Maryland. If you access this site from outside Maryland, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version is always posted at this URL with an effective date. Material changes are flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days following the change.
